Double peonies have multiple rows of petals emerging from the crown of the flower. The crown of the flower is covered by petals.
The central petals in the Bomb Double create a globe like shape with guard petals either being long and prominent or shorter than the petaloids above. The flower's guard petals are not constant and can be replaced by the thinner petaloids to give the flower more of a ball shape.
Semi-Double Peonies are peonies which have rows of petals emerging from the crown of the flower with the center exposing the pollen bearing anthers.
